A brief story about me, and my love for design.
I'm a second-year Graphic Design student at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. Well, really, it's in Etobicoke. But we're just going to call it Toronto.
I have a passion for tackling difficult problems and creating effective solutions. And if that sounded like a typical student trying to appear smarter than they actually are, then I'm sorry. But it's true. I believe that difficult problems produce extraordinary work. That's why I always try to push myself beyond my personal boundaries in each and every project in order to develop my skills.
You’re not looking at just another one-trick pony. I’m interested in a lot of other things too.
Some of those things include writing, and talking to people on my podcast, Students of Design. When I finally decide to leave my desk, I play on the Humber College dodgeball team and compete in tournaments all over Ontario and Michigan. Ya, that's right, dodgeball (it's badass).
As an active member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD), I sit on the RGD Student Committee and regularly attend design events around Toronto.
A few of my other interests include golf, photography, pizza, and coding.
Oh ya, I also play video games occasionally. Okay, maybe it's a bit more than occasionally.
I regularly compete in local Halo 5: Guardians and Call of Duty tournaments with a few "W's" under my belt. It's a great way to blow off some steam after trying to kern that one headline that "just isn't working".
As a gamer, it's essentially a requirement to be incredibly overconfident in your gaming prowess. Some call it cocky, I call it fearless. Therefore, I'm very certain that I could beat you in almost any video game. Yes, that includes Mario Kart on the N64. I'm always up for a challenge, though 😏
